LIMESTONE CHARACTERISTICS
The main component of limestone is calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Lime and limestone are widely used in building materials and industrial raw materials. Limestone is directly processed into stone and fired into quicklime.. The quicklime absorbs moisture or adds water to become slaked lime,which main component is calcium calcium hydroxide. The hydrated lime is prepared into lime slurry, lime gypsum and so on. It is used as coating material and brick and tile adhesives. Calcium carbonate is a carbonate compound of calcium and its chemical formula is CaCO3. Basically, it is not soluble in water. Limestone is a mineral,composed mainly of calcium carbonate and It is a common and hard rock. In addition, Baishantu (commonly known as Baituzi), vermiculite, calcite, chalk, limestone, marble, travertine etc. are all forms of calcium carbonate.Calcium carbonate is the main component of animal's back shell and snails shell. Limestone is also an important building material and widely used in industry. It is a raw material for burning lime and cement, a filler for rubber products and paints, and can also be used as medicine.
LIMESTONE CRUSHING PROCESS
The large limestone is transferred to jaw crusher for primary crushing by vibrating feeder through the silo, then the crushed materials are transferred to impact crusher through belt conveyor for secondary crushing. The materials crushed will be transferred to the vibrating screen. The materials with suitable size will be transferred to finished material pile. The others with unsuitable size will be screened from vibrating screen, then they will be crushed by impact crusher , thus forming a closed circuit manifold cycles.If fine product or good shape is needed, crushed stone is sent to the sand making machine for further crushing and shaping.
